Yesamaha Motor Australia, in conjunction with Motorcycling Australia, has announced the return of the Junior MX experience to a popular model – the YZ65 Cup.
The event designed for 9-12 year olds was introduced in 2018 and has remained a staple for motorcycle enthusiasts. Two rounds have been confirmed at the National Pro MX Race Series in Maitland, NSW on June 26 and Queensland Moto Park, QLD on August 14.
The YZ65 Cup is more than a race series, it’s a celebration of motocross designed to give participants and their families a cashless experience. Straight out of the bLU cRU truck and with unparalleled access to YMA’s professional MX race teams, every YZ65 Cup entrant is rewarded with memories that last a lifetime.
Yamaha’s YZ65 Cup philosophy is to make every rider and their family feel like part of the Yamaha factory racing team, thanks to the wide range of unique bLU cRU benefits.
“Since its inception in 2018, the YZ65 Cup has provided over 200 young riders the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a factory Yamaha rider for the day. We are once again delighted to ‘to offer this opportunity during two rounds of the ProMX 2022 championship,’ explains YMA Business Development Manager Nick Marshall.
“The concept of the YZ65 Cup is to provide a fun, stress-free environment for riders of all skill levels with an experience they will never forget. Whether you finish first or last, our goal is for every rider and their parents to leave the track with a big smile on their face,” he concluded.
Yamaha values the safety of all riders and aims to make the YZ65 Cup a fun and rewarding experience for all riders. Prior to submitting an entry, parents are encouraged to assess their child’s driving skills to determine if they will be comfortable driving in a competitive environment. Accordingly, all riders must have a current MA license and are encouraged to submit a resume.
