Hero Dirt Bike Challenge launched in India

Winners receive brand new Hero XPulse 200 4V motorcycles and sponsorship deals

Further contributing to the development of motorsport in the country, Hero Motocorp has launched a one-of-a-kind off-road motorcycle challenge in India. The Hero Dirt Biking Challenge (HDBC) aims to discover talented new faces in the dirt bike scene. Aspiring riders, enthusiasts and lovers of the off-road racing industry can use the platform to hone their skills and make a name for themselves in the sport.

Participants in the Dirt Bike Challenge would be driven by the Hero Motorsports Team Rally – the manufacturer’s motorsport vertical with Dakar victories under its belt. The top entrants would be coached by Hero Team Rally riders – Ross Branch, Joaquim Rodrigues, Sebastian Buhler and Franco Caimi.

The first round of HDBC will have sessions in approximately 45 cities across the country. Shortlisted contestants would then go on regional tours to 18 cities. The top 100 riders selected will then participate in a 5-day regional training camp, where they will be trained by CS Santosh. The top 20 entrants after that would compete in the finals at the world-class Technology Innovation Center (TIC), at Hero’s R&D center in Jaipur.

The winner and two runners-up would win Hero XPulse 200 4V motorcycles and manufacturer sponsorship contracts worth 20 lakh. The HDBC sessions will be televised via MTV and via Voot, next November. Discover the official HDBC website for more details and registration.
