First-Ever Hero Dirt Biking Challenge Ends With Thrilling Finale

In keeping with its firm commitment to promoting multiple sports and sports, Hero MotoCorp – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of motorcycles and scooters – today crowned India’s off-road driving champion after a rigorous contest of over four months between pilots. and enthusiasts across the country.

The Hero Dirt Biking Challenge (HDBC), which kicked off in July 2022, culminated in the final race where the top 20 riders from across the country competed to be the inaugural HDBC Champion.

Asad Khan became the champion after the final race. Rakesh N and Gidyun were first and second runners-up respectively.

The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up were awarded the popular Hero Xpulse 200 4V motorcycle and sponsorship contracts worth Rs. 10 lakhs, Rs. 6 lakhs and Rs. 4 lakhs respectively.

Olesya Dias was recognized as the top female off-road rider in the country for her driving performance in all rounds.

The HDBC will air on MTV and stream on Voot.

The past week has been spent in and around Hero MotoCorp’s world-class R&D facility, the Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT), in Jaipur. The entire racing and participation experience has been designed to the same level as the best international rally events. The whole final week was organized by the Hero MotoSports Team Rally.

Over the past few months, over 100,000 entrants have registered for the HDBC and after a rigorous national competition spanning four stages, 41 cities and over 120 days, the Top 20 have been shortlisted.

Successfully passing the urban and regional rounds, 90 runners reached the zonal round. After a 4-day zonal round, in which the Hero MotoSports National Team trained the participants, the top 20 Dirt-Biking Heroes qualified for the final.

Hero MotoSports Team Rally, one of the top international teams, is the rally racing team of Hero MotoCorp and the only Indian team to win a Dakar Rally stage. Team riders Ross Branch, Joaquim Rodrigues, Sebastian Buhler and Franco Caimi worked with top attendees at a Residential Bootcamp and provided invaluable coaching.

The Hero Dirt Biking Challenge is the first pan-Indian talent-hunting program by an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aims to provide the much-needed platform for aspiring cyclists, enthusiasts and amateurs who wish to pursue their passion for off-road racing and making a name for themselves in the field.
