The annual Cheyenne Christmas Parade went on with fanfare last year. For those of you who didn’t attend the 2021 festivities, you missed a big one.

Santa Claus ate too many cookies and his sleigh wheels broke! Luckily for Cheyenne, we have Cheyenne Motorsports and they happily came to Santa’s rescue.

Cheyenne Motorsports has redesigned the sled’s caster system to allow the use of larger, stronger wheels with usable bearings.

“The previous design used cheap furniture casters that were no match for the weight of the sleigh and Santa,” explained owner Nick Dodgson.

Although this was a fairly unique job for Cheyenne Motorsports, it was something they were prepared for. “Because we work on all kinds of machines, some of which are over 50 years old, our guys are used to thinking outside the box and redesigning when necessary,” Dodgson said.

Cheyenne Motorsports has contributed to the Cheyenne Christmas Parade for over 20 years, providing many ATVs used to stage the parade. However, their community involvement was never limited to Christmas.

“We proudly support many local nonprofits and donate machines to various organizations to help with fundraising and awareness,” Dodgson said.

The Cheyenne Motorsports crew includes members with over 20 years of industry experience, and all staff members are dedicated to the store and their community. This store is one of the top dealerships in the area, winning the prestigious Kawasaki Ichiban award 6 years in a row. They are also one of the top 25 dealerships in the country along with CFMOTO.

“My favorite part of this business is introducing families to the joys of riding powersports machines! There’s nothing quite like a youngster’s smile on their first dirt bike,” Dodgson said. with enthusiasm.

Cheyenne Motorsports opened as Cheyenne Sports Center on September 1, 1967. The name was eventually changed to Cheyenne Motorsports to reflect changes in the industry. It has always been owned by a local family, first with the Richardson family and then under Dodgson ownership since 2016. Cheyenne Motorsports is the 8th oldest Kawasaki dealership in the country and one of the oldest operating motorsports stores of State. Their slogan is “Delivering Pleasure Since 1967”
